Websites · for small businesses

Websites for small businesses that bring in customers.

People who don't know you yet search online before they call. We build the website that leads them to you: built by people who run businesses themselves and know what a decision depends on.

The path from search to first call.

Between "I need someone for this" and the call to you are four steps. At each one, your website can make the difference. Or your competitor's can.

1
Station 1 · The search

This is how your customers search today.

Not in the phone book, rarely by walking past your door. They search in the evening on the couch, on the phone: what they need right now, plus the name of your town.

And more and more often they don't ask Google at all. They ask an AI. If you're not in those answers, you don't exist for these customers.

2
Station 2 · Being found

This is how customers find you instead of the big chain.

Reception area of a small business: a low counter of wood and metal, a chair beside it, warm light

We build your website so Google and AI search understand it: found locally, fast on the phone, business data cleanly structured.

Being found is only half the job. So yours shows at once what counts: what you do, who you work for, who is behind it. Built to sell, not just to look nice. That's the difference between an agency website and one from people who had to sell themselves.

3
Station 3 · The visit

This is how a click turns into a visit.

Hours, directions, "Do you even do that?": your website answers the questions that stand between interest and the call, so nobody has to go looking.

If you want to sell online, we add a connected Shopify store. For most businesses, though, this is the point: the site doesn't need to process anything. It needs to get people to reach out.

A quiet corner for a first conversation: two armchairs facing each other, a low table with two glasses of water between them

Station 4 · After

And after launch? We keep looking after your site.

A website is not a project with an end date. Hosting, monitoring and updates run with us from day one. Every website runs with a care plan, and you choose the tier. You never have to touch the tech again.

The path doesn't end at launch. It leads into a lasting partnership.

We started with our own business.

Before we built websites for others, we had to sell ourselves. That's the difference from an agency that knows an owner's day only from briefings.

Jochen Schüttler

Has run retail businesses himself for more than ten years, in stores and on more than ten online marketplaces in Germany, Europe and the US. He knows from his own sales what makes a page sell and what only looks good.

Patrick Schneider

Builds the tech behind it and comes from corporate-level IT security. Your website is not just fast and modern. It's secured from day one, including the care that follows.

We're happy to show you current projects on the call.

Two ways businesses come to us.

These are examples, not specific clients.

Example scenario

“Nobody finds us online, even though we're fully booked.”

An owner-led business with loyal regulars. But the website is years old and hard to use on a phone, and on Google a bigger competitor shows up instead. We build new: fast on mobile, found locally, services and people up front, directions one click away.

After launch, the site stays in our care. The owner never touches the tech again.

Example scenario

“We don't just want to be found. We want to sell.”

A business with its own products wants to sell online too. Here the connected Shopify store comes in: products maintained, orders running next to the daily business. Because we sell on marketplaces ourselves, we know which product data and images work online, and where the effort doesn't pay off.

Fixed price upfront. No surprises.

Care plan

Comes with every build and is required. You choose the tier. 12-month minimum term, cancel with one month's notice before the term ends. What each tier does is right below.

Optional add-ons: Shopify store, light brand kit, baseline protection with team training.

Why monthly? Because a website doesn't work on its own.

Imagine your contact form fails. The site looks completely normal, only no inquiries arrive. You notice after three weeks, or never. That's what the monthly care plan is for: it's not about where the site sits, it's about someone watching.

The three care tiers.

A website maintenance plan in three tiers. Hosting, monitoring and technical updates are the base. The tiers differ in how much we do on top.

Foundation

So nothing breaks silently.

  • Your site is checked every minute, and not only whether it loads: we check that the right content is actually being served
  • Your contact form is checked every five minutes. Not the page, the sending path
  • If something fails, the alert reaches us in about three minutes. You hear it from us, not from a customer who calls
  • Four times a year we rebuild the tech behind your site, so security gaps don't sit there
  • We get a warning well before your SSL certificate or domain expires
  • When your business details change, we update them everywhere on your site
  • Your complete site is stored versioned with us. Once a year we restore it as a test and show that it works
  • Once at the start: we set up Google Search Console and submit your sitemap, so Google knows all your pages
What exactly is checked

Availability every minute, plus a keyword in the delivered content: that way we also catch the case where the address answers but shows an error page. The form path is checked every five minutes over its own test route, without sending an email. Warning 14 days before the certificate expires, one month before the domain does. The source is stored versioned in a repository, and the restore test runs on a freshly set up container. Google Search Console we set up once: confirm ownership, submit the sitemap, request indexing of your pages. The account is yours. We work in it as an invited user. Ongoing Search Console care starts with the Up to Date tier.

Up to Date

So your site grows with you.

  • Everything from Foundation
  • Once a month we make your changes. Send them in a Word document and we add them. No meeting needed
  • New staff, new services, hours, holidays, seasonal notes
  • Hiring? We mark up the job ad so Google recognizes it as a job posting
  • After every change we compare your site against 17 checkpoints with the state before. What broke, we see before Google does
  • We keep your Google Search Console up: new and changed pages get submitted for indexing, and errors Google reports there get fixed
  • A report every month: how available your site was, how fast it loads, what we changed and what was open in Search Console
What exactly is compared

Page title, meta description, the canonical address, instructions to search engines, the heading hierarchy, structured data, the preview details for social networks and the loading metrics. 17 rules in three urgency levels. Job ads get the extra markup that lets Google read them as job postings instead of plain text. In Search Console we check monthly which pages are indexed and which aren't, submit new pages and work through reported errors. Analyzing the search queries themselves belongs to the Visible tier.

Visible

So the site works for you.

  • Everything from Up to Date
  • What the review finds, we fix. You don't get a to-do list to work through yourself
  • Four times a year a full review: tech, content, search engine markup, and whether AI assistants can use your page as an answer
  • We extend the structure of your site so Google and AI answers understand more of it: what you offer, where you work, when you're open
  • We look at what people searched for when they found you, and align the copy with it
  • Google Business Profile care is included. We maintain your listing instead of just telling you what's missing. What that covers is right below
  • The report shows what was found and what was fixed
What the full review covers

Technical: the instruction file for crawlers and the sitemap, accidental blocks for search engines, click depth, rendering without JavaScript, security headers, mobile view, structured data and the control of AI crawlers. For AI answers: whether the answer sits in the first 40 to 60 words, whether sections stand on their own, whether claims are backed up, paragraph length, question-and-answer format, and the file AI systems use to find their way around. What the review can't do: it tells you whether your page can be cited, not whether a specific assistant actually cites it.

Pricing in your free consultation.

Included in the Visible tier

Google Business Profile management.

So your listing is right when someone looks you up.

Included
Part of the Visible tier, at no extra charge

In the first month we clean up your profile once, thoroughly. That's included.

  • We notice changes you didn't make. Users can suggest edits to your profile, and Google changes things on its own. Every month we check that everything still reads the way you want it
  • One post a month, written and published by us
  • Holidays and special hours go in ahead of time, so Google doesn't flag on its own that your hours might differ
  • We answer reviews. Every answer goes to you for approval first
  • We answer questions in your profile, and the key ones we add ourselves as Q&A
  • Services, categories, your profile description and the link to your website stay current
  • We post photos as soon as you give us material
  • The monthly report includes your profile numbers: how often you were found, via what, how many calls, how many direction requests
What exactly is maintained

Primary and additional categories, attributes, service area, regular and special hours, booking link, your services with descriptions, the profile description, the match of your business details between profile, website and legal pages, and a check for duplicate profiles. In the first month we go through all of it once. After that, we keep it.

What we don't do: We don't promise a position in the map results. We don't buy reviews or gather them in bulk; that breaks Google's rules. We never answer without your approval, and we invent nothing: posts come from what you give us. Photo production is not included.

Two things upfront: your profile must be verified, and you give us the manager role. You stay the owner and can remove the role at any time.

Built once vs. cared for.

After launch the site stands. From there, you're on your own.

We stay on it, every month

If something fails, you notice when a customer mentions it

We notice before you do

Hours, seasons, new content: you do it yourself, or it stays as it is

You send it to us, we do it

Legal pages and accessibility: your risk

We keep legal pages current and check accessibility with every change

The site exists. That's all.

Short answers.

What does a website for a small business cost?

A fixed price for the build level you choose, agreed upfront after a free consultation. The care plan comes with it, and the tier is your choice. Everything is quoted before you commit, so there's nothing to add up later.

Do I need an online store with my website?

Not necessarily. Most businesses gain the most when what they do and who they work for is visible online, and someone reaches out because of it. If you really want to sell online, we add a connected Shopify store. We tell you honestly what pays off for your business and what doesn't.

We already have a store. Do you rebuild existing ones?

Yes. We improve existing Shopify stores with selling in mind: product pages, product data, images, with what we know from our own marketplace business. And if a rebuild is the wrong step, we say so.

Do you work for my industry?

Very likely. Our clients in Germany come from fire safety, accounting, electrical contracting, hospitality, insurance, coaching and art. What connects them isn't the industry, it's the size: small businesses where the owner handles the tech on the side. If your industry needs something special, we tell you openly on the call.

Who looks after the site after launch?

We do, permanently. No website leaves us without a care plan, but you choose the tier. Foundation covers hosting, monitoring, backup and legal pages, and we notice an outage before you report it. Up to Date adds your monthly changes, a monthly report and ongoing Search Console care. Visible adds four full reviews a year, the fixes that follow, and care for your Google Business Profile. We don't build a website and then leave you alone.

What if I'm on Foundation and want a change?

Just ask, and we do it. Single jobs outside your tier are billed by effort, and we quote the price first, not afterwards. If you only change something now and then, that's more honest than a plan you barely use. If it becomes frequent, we switch you to Up to Date: no need to ask each time, a fixed slot every month, and the report comes with it.

Does my site track visitors?

Your website loads nothing from third-party servers: fonts, scripts and images all sit with us. That's why it needs no cookie banner. Nothing is set that your visitors would have to agree to. Messages from the contact form reach us via Microsoft 365. Site builders usually load fonts and scripts from third-party servers, and that's exactly where the banners come from that annoy your visitors.

Let's talk about your business.

A straight conversation, free and with no strings attached: we look at your business together and tell you openly whether and how a new website pays off for you. Honest, concrete, no sales talk.
